Last weekend I traveled down to my hometown of Memphis, TN.
My To-Do List was:
1. Celebrate my best friend's 30th Birthday
2. Buy a wedding dress
3. Celebrate Christmas with the Family
1. My best friend/maid-of-honor, Stephanie turned 30 last week, and I definitely wanted to be there to celebrate. On Friday, a few of us had a chef tasting at Hog and Hominy.
(Where I ate PIG EARS and PIG TAIL! yikes!)
And Saturday night we all had dinner and drinks again and blew out some candles.
I was so happy I got to celebrate her birthday, because being 7 hours part, we've had to miss quite a few.
2. Saturday morning, I woke up bright and early to head to Brinkley, AR with my mom and sister to shop at Low's Bridal Shop for a wedding gown. This place is HUGE.
This bridal shop definitely had a wide range of gowns and I found several that I loved....on the hanger.
I tried on about 20 dresses (with the help of my sister/matron-of-honor who zipped and buttoned each one) but I honestly didn't fall in love with any of them, even though my sister & mom definitely had their favorites.
Maybe it's because I'm picky...or Maybe it's because none of them were "THE dress" and Maybe it's because I already knew exactly what dress I wanted to wear...and it wasn't at THAT store! :)
3. The rest of the four day weekend was spent shopping with my mom, and hanging out with my sister and her family. I let my niece open her christmas present from me (cinderella dress, crown & doll).
Do you think she liked it?
Hope everyone had a fabulous week.
I have a fun weekend planned and then I'm headed to North Carolina for the holidays.

Happy Holidays to each and everyone!!

Glad to got to celebrate with your bestie!! Birthdays are my favorite :)
Glad you had a good time trying on the dresses but I want to see the one you know you want to wear!!! AHH! So exciting dear!
And your niece is precious!
WEdding dress shopping is so difficult. I actually put money down for one and then they said they couldn't do the alterations that I wanted, so I had to change to a different one. Looking back I'm SO glad I changed. Where is the dress that you think you want?
